Emirates Medical Association held on 30/9/2022 a meeting with its board members of the scientific societies working under its umbrella. The meeting aimed at achieving cooperation and effective contribution from different specialized societies that aspires the Association in organizing medical conferences and attracting international congresses in the Emirates of Dubai. 
 
Stories of success by Presidents of scientific societies were presented including their achievements in their specialties during the year 2021- 2022 along with summary of their future plans for the development of the society.
The meeting was hosted by Dubai Business Events, as part of a memorandum of understanding that was recently renewed between the parties and as a joint effort  to attract more medical conferences and raise the profile of Dubai being an international hub for congresses in the medical field.
 
Dr. Mouza Alsharhan, President of Emirates Medical Association, awarded trophies of appreciation to the scientific societies in recognition of their great efforts and contributions and supporting the Emirates Medical Association vision, and honored Dubai Convention Bureau  for their role in supporting the activities of the Association as strategic partners in the Emirate of Dubai.
 
Mr. Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, said: “Our collaborative efforts with Emirates Medical Association in recent years have played a vital role in growing Dubai’s stature as a business events destination and a host city for major international conferences and congresses in the medical field. In addition to contributing to continued tourism growth, this has been critical to further developing the city’s knowledge economy by bringing experts from around the world to Dubai and creating a platform for professional development and the sharing of knowledge.
